Q2.What do CNF, RAC, and WL mean on an Indian Railways ticket?
CNF means Confirmed — you have a reserved berth. RAC means Reservation Against Cancellation — you may board and share a berth. WL means Waiting List — you usually cannot travel until the status improves to RAC or CNF after cancellations or chart preparation.
Q3.How do I track live running status of a train?
Open Live Train Status, enter the 5-digit train number, choose the journey date, and click Track Train. The page shows the latest crossed station, delay minutes, and expected times at upcoming halts.
Q4.How do I search trains between two stations?
Use Train Search on the homepage: enter from and to stations (name or code), pick your journey date, and click Search Trains. Results show direct trains with timings, running days, and quick links to schedule, live status, and coach position.
Q5.How do I check coach position before boarding?
Open Coach Position, enter the train number, and select a journey date. You will see the engine-to-rear coach sequence (SL, AC, pantry, etc.) so you can stand at the right spot on the platform.
Q6.Where can I see the full train schedule and running days?
Open Train Schedule and enter the 5-digit train number. The page shows route, halt stations, arrival and departure times, distance, and which days the train runs.
