Yes. Coach composition may change due to operational requirements such as coach replacement, maintenance, or rake reversal. Always verify the final coach position using platform coach display boards or official railway announcements before boarding.
No. Coach position maps the coach sequence and type on the train. Your berth number is available from PNR status or your reservation ticket.
SLR stands for Seating cum Luggage Rake. It usually includes space for luggage/parcels, limited seating, and the train Guard cabin, and is often placed at the ends of the train.
General class passengers can use the coach layout to estimate where the general compartments will be, but exact coach numbers are not assigned on unreserved tickets. Look for the coach indicator boards on the platform.
